Edinburgh Festival Fringe is off and running and there’s no shortage of shows from some of Australia’s best comedians hitting the world’s stage.

2025 Melbourne International Comedy Festival award winners and nominees Dan Rath (Directors’ Choice Award), Jessica Barton (Best Newcomer Award) and Kate Dolan (Golden Gibbo) are taking their award-winning shows to Edinburgh, joined by award nominees Robyn Reynolds (Best Newcomer Award nominee), Lou Wall and Brett Blake (Most Outstanding Show Award nominee).

The Australian cohort, taking their Melbourne-honed material to one of the world's most prestigious festivals, also includes: Breaking the Musical, Elouise Eftos, Grace Jarvis, Jeromaia Detto, Laura Davis, Casey Filips, CVNT, Oliver Coleman, Zoë Coombs Marr, Chris Nguyen and more! Taskmaster Australia favourites Tom Cashman, Emma Holland, Jenny Tian and Takashi Wakasugi join the list bringing their 2025 Melbourne Comedy Festival solo shows to the festival.

But the line-up doesn’t end there. 2025 RAW Comedy National Grand Final winner Peter Josip will compete in So You Think You're Funny? – the UK's biggest comedy newcomer competition, while audiences can catch Aussie favourites including Sweeney Preston and Ethan Cavanagh’s The Late Nite PowerPoint Comedy Showcase, Mel McGlensey is Motorboat, 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Josh Glanc, Peter Jones, Bec Charlwood, The Burton Brothers and AC/DC: Australian Comedians / Dope Comedy hosted by Daniel Muggleton – a stand-up comedy showcase featuring the very best comedians from Australia and New Zealand at the Fringe. Plus, UK audiences can enjoy show-stopping performances from comedians as they audition for their dream musical roles in Festival Club favourite Comedians on Stage Auditioning for Musicals, hosted by Michelle Brasier and Chloe Petts (UK).

There might be over 1400 comedy shows at the festival this year – but with such a packed contingent of locals hitting stages across the city, there’s no doubt Australian comedy will be a highlight of the Fringe.
