Take a Good Hard Look at Me

  • New Zealand

Hello! I've been vying for your attention for a long time now. I'd comfortably say, it's been 30 years. Thirty years of trying to make people look at me. In that time there have been many attempts to try and masquerade it as something "important" or "educational" but the longer I've sat with it, the more I've come to accept that it could maybe just be vanity. So I won't sugar coat it in the blurb. There're no secrets about to be dished, no valuable lesson to take away. I'm just a 35-year-old gay man, who was told there was something special about him as a kid and has been grappling with that ever since, standing in front of an audience asking them to take a good hard look at ME!

Suitable for audiences 15+

Language – occasional coarse language

We accept the invitation to walk together with First Nations people towards a more positive future for Australia, as described in the Uluru Statement From The Heart.
