Marketing Campaigns Coordinator

We are recruiting a Marketing Campaigns Coordinator to join the Melbourne International Comedy Festival team!
The Marketing Campaigns Coordinator will support the delivery of campaigns that build audiences and drive ticket sales for Melbourne International Comedy Festival produced events. Working with the Marketing Campaigns Manager and broader Festival team, the Marketing Campaigns Coordinator will play a key role in delivery of campaigns for international special guest artists and other ticketed events produced by the Festival for the Festival season and interstate tours.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate marketing enthusiast to play a key role in connecting and engaging audiences with one of Australia’s most loved events!

Box Office Managers
START DATE: Monday 17 March 2025
END DATE: Sunday 20 April 2025
TERM: Fixed term contract

We’re seeking applications for two Box Office Managers to join our team for the 2025 Festival.
The Box Office Managers will share the responsibility of managing the Festival’s Main Box Office and Call Centre, with shift patterns evenly divided between both locations.
They will play a key role in the delivery of box office operations, including supervising Box Office Staff, assisting with rostering, and ensuring all box office locations are presentable to the public.
In addition, they will essential in providing exceptional customer service to the general public. Responsibilities include selling tickets, coordinating accessible booking processes, answering customer queries, and sharing accurate and engaging information about the Festival.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
We are looking for people with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in events ticketing (Red61 ticketing system preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision or management and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- High level of organisational skills including logistics and scheduling.
- Sensitivity to the needs of and handling of relations with artists and producers.
- A high level of numeracy as well as advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- Cash handling experience and a high level of numeracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Stage Managers and Production Casuals
START DATE: Monday 24 March 2025
END DATE: Sunday 20 April 2025
TERM: Casual positions

We're seeking applications for Technical Stage Managers (casual), General Event Crew and Production Casuals to help deliver the Festival program across Festival Managed Venues in 2025.
The Festival's venues range from 40-500+ seat venues within Melbourne Town Hall, Trades Hall, Chinese Museum, Swiss Club, Max Watt’s, Arts Centre Melbourne, The Victoria Hotel, The Westin Melbourne and the Melbourne Museum.
Technical Stage Managers (TSM) are all-rounder technicians who can provide the technical expertise necessary across lighting, sound and vision to facilitate the shows in their assigned performance space. They work closely with artists, producers and front of house staff to ensure the shows run on time and are of high technical quality. There are TSM and casual roles across our Main program (Tue-Sun evenings 27 March – 20 April); Monday program (31 March, 7 April & 14 April); and our School Holidays program (Tue-Sun daytime 4 – 20 April).
There are also a small number of Production Casual roles that have flexible working hours across the Festival that require a range of skills and expertise.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Good knowledge of lighting, sound & AV equipment (including QLAB5).
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a busy environment.
- Ability to deal with variety of stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in a festival cycle that involves work outside standard business hours.
- Patience, energy and a sense of humour.
